Collection: Odilon Redon
Odilon Redon (1840–1916) was a French symbolist artist known for his dreamlike, introspective works that blend imagination with mystery. Early in his career, he created dark, monochromatic charcoal drawings known as noirs, filled with strange, otherworldly figures. Later, he embraced color through pastels and oils, producing luminous, fantastical imagery of mythological beings, floating heads, and floral visions. Redon’s art sought to express the unseen and the emotional, influencing both the Symbolist movement and early modernist painters.
